Congratulations to the Nexus staff members and former work placement student who have been named finalists across three categories in the 2026 Tasmanian Training Awards!

Presented by Skills Tasmania, the Tasmanian Training Awards are held annually and celebrate the people and organisations shaping Tasmania’s skilled workforce.

This recognition is well deserved and reflects our finalists’ passion for continuous learning and dedication to providing the best possible support to our clients.

Congratulations to:

  • Jed Byrom: 2026 Trainee of the Year finalist
  • Sam Cook: 2026 Equity Apprentice / Trainee of the Year finalist
  • Bernard Kababi Mwangi: 2026 Vocational Student of the Year finalist

At Nexus, we tailor our training to the changing needs of our clients and staff. Alongside essential mandatory training, our staff have access to specialised programs in autism, trauma-informed support, epilepsy, midazolam administration, mealtime assistance and complex care.
