Nexus' conducts four week internal campaign to further raise staff awareness around 2026 Sexual Assault Awareness Month,

As part of 2026 Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we ran a four week internal campaign to further raise staff awareness, outline updated reporting processes, and highlight internal and external support options.

With around one in three Australians experiencing sexual harassment in the workplace it is important to take this opportunity to reinforce our efforts to raise awareness, strengthen prevention, and support survivors wherever possible.

We concluded the campaign with an afternoon tea for all staff, welcoming Zoe from Sexual Assault Support Service Tasmania (SAAS), who spoke with our staff about bystander intervention in the workplace.

Our staff appreciated the tailored session and discussion on positive duty of care to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

This work forms part of Nexus’s broader, ongoing commitment to creating safer workplaces. We continue to provide Positive Duty for Leaders training, delivered by SAAS, to equip managers with the skills to recognise sexual harassment, respond appropriately, support staff, and proactively foster safe and respectful work environments.

Thank you again to Zoe for taking the time to connect with our team.
