Earlier this week, the Nexus team attended the Hobart and Southern Tasmania Employment & Careers Expo at MyState Bank Arena, where our team enjoyed connecting with job seekers from across southern Tasmania.
With more than 2,700 attendees and over 135 exhibitors, the Expo continues to be an important opportunity for Nexus to connect with job seekers in the community.
From career changes to work placements and training opportunities at Nexus, we had many meaningful conversations with attendees about pathways into the disability sector and how we help break down common barriers to becoming a Support Worker.
A highlight of the event was seeing our Compliance, Risk and Reporting Officer, Jessica, take part in the panel discussion “Your Next Step?”. Alongside other panel members, Jessica shared practical insights into navigating career transitions, returning to work after time away, and addressing gaps in a resume.
